senior artist Spotlight

Through art education, our students learn how to use tools and materials and experience art by exploring. The art classroom is a place where students learn problem-solving and critical thinking skills while getting the opportunity to express themselves.

The artist is not a special kind of person; rather each person is a special kind of artist. ~Amanda Coomaraswamy

Artist Spotlight

Isaac Neutz

Isaac Neutz, a senior at Royalton High School, is the first artist to be featured in the Senior Artist Spotlight series. This series aims to showcase the exceptional artistic talent and passion of high school seniors. Isaac's passion for art began in 7th grade when he started taking art classes. Since then, Isaac has developed his skills and talent as an artist and has been recognized for his exceptional work in painting.

Isaac shared that he has always enjoyed drawing and doing crafts as a kid, but it wasn't until he took a painting class with Mr. Halverson during his freshman year that he really discovered his love for painting. From that point on, Isaac continued taking painting classes with Mrs. Tordsen and has honed his skills over the years.

Isaac's artistic interests also include his fascination with cars and other vehicles, which he has been drawing and coloring since he was just 4 years old. His passion for vehicles is evident in the detailed and impressive paintings that he creates.

When asked about his plans for the future, Isaac shared that while he doesn't plan on pursuing a career in art, he intends to keep painting as a fun side activity. Isaac's dedication and passion for art is an inspiration to his peers and serves as a reminder of the importance of pursuing one's passions and interests.

We are incredibly proud of Isaac's accomplishments as an artist and we can't wait to see what he creates next. Congratulations on your hard work, Isaac!
